Bryon McLendon

President/CEO

Bryon McLendon has always had a passion for the health and fitness industry.  A series of events in the mid-1990s led him to ultimately being unemployed. It was during this time he began researching career options in the health and fitness industry. He quickly recognized an upswing in the dietary and nutritional supplement field coupled with a strong resilience of the industry as a whole. In 1997, he discovered an opportunity, emptied his entire savings, and opened his own retail nutrition store in Southern California. It was sink or swim.

He worked tirelessly day and night with a laser-focused approach. He meticulously studied the trends and competition variables of the retail nutrition industry and in the process developed an extensive network. His one nutrition store quickly grew to five locations in less than 2 years charting tremendous successes. Before long, friends and acquaintances began making inquiries regarding opening retail nutrition stores of their own.

He was determined to build something special. He detected a void in the industry and wanted to create a business model that would provide consumers an extremely diverse selection of superior, high-quality, dietary and nutritional supplements offered at guaranteed low prices coupled with unmatched individualized customer service from an educated and knowledgeable staff.

Nutrishop, Inc. was founded in 2003 to fill that void in the retail nutrition industry and expand this opportunity to other passionate, like-minded, hard-working entrepreneurs. Now, more than 15 years later, he still has the same commitment to helping others achieve their dream of owning their own successful retail nutrition business.

Bryon lives for winter to feed his passion for snow skiing and winter storm chasing solo or with friends. He is a huge dog lover and has always owned Boxers. Bryon’s philanthropic passion includes mission-related charities, dog rescues and programs for developmentally challenged adults, such as Opportunity Village.
