Meg Stoker may only be 20 years old, but she's overcome much in those 20 years. An eating disorder, an abusive relationship, a move across the country, haters on social media ... none of it has kept her down. She keeps charting her course, moving forward without apology. As an influencer (Instagram: @Megstokerr – TikTok: @Megstoker), she hopes to help others overcome negative self-worth issues and encourage them to stop comparing themselves to others. As a Nutrishop-sponsored athlete, she's stoked to be able to partner with a company that genuinely cares about the health and well-being of others and has kick-ass products she can't live without. We caught up with Meg recently to get some insight into who she is and her fitness regimen. Here is what she had to say:
How did you get involved in fitness and how long have you been doing it?
I decided to dive into fitness when I moved out of my hometown. I was involved in a long-term abusive relationship that robbed me of my self-worth. The situation was so bad that I knew that the only way I could leave was to move away. When I graduated high school, I left to go to college clear across the country, somewhere I had never been before. It was unfamiliar and scary to me since, for the past two years, I was never able to make my own decisions. This allowed me to have a fresh start and finally start living for ME.
What about becoming a social media influencer?
After starting my fitness journey, I realized how hard it was to post because of the fear of what others thought of me. I was afraid that people would make fun and talk badly about me as I posted and opened up more to my followers. I knew that for me to be my real authentic self, I had to completely change my mindset because no matter what I did or whatever I continue to do, people will always have something to say, so you should give them an interesting topic!
What is the best part about what you do as a social media influencer?
I love making connections!! That is my absolute FAVORITE thing about what I do. Sooo many amazing things have come from doing social media. I have made lifelong bonds with companies and people. I love what I do!
What has been one of the greatest challenges you've faced, and how did you overcome it?
I genuinely think I continue to have a hard time with being self-conscious about what others think of me. Everyone starts somewhere in the fitness world, and obviously, there is ALWAYS improvement to be made. Because I am not the most jacked person on the planet, I was worried that others would make fun of me because I didn't look strong when I started. I am still working on where I want to be, and I've realized that everyone's journey looks different, and just because someone doesn't look like a walking steroid advertisement doesn't mean they aren't working hard at the gym!
How have Nutrishop supplements helped you in your fitness journey?
I cannot begin to tell you how much I LOVE NUTRISHOP!!! The supplements are just a plus to how much the company has helped me in my fitness journey. I have had the opportunity to try many excellent products that have become staples in my daily vitamin and pre-workout routine. There are supplements I had no idea existed before becoming an athlete for Nutrishop.
What is your favorite Nutrishop supplement or supplement stack so far and why?
My current and FAVORITE stack is MERK Psycho Citrus (if you love SunnyD, this is YOUR PRE) and LIPOTROPIC before the gym, and EVO9INE Rocket Freeze during or after my workout. Anyone who has taken MERK knows that it gives you an insane rush, but when paired with LIPOTROPIC, it makes me sweat like crazzzzzyyy! And, DON'T even get me started on EVO9INE…SO FREAKIN' GOOD!!!!!
What does being a part of Team Nutrishop mean to you?
Being a part of Team Nutrishop means so much to me. I love being a part of a company that cares about its athletes. I feel so blessed to be part of such a rad company, with the most amazing staff and athletes who inspire me every day!
When times get tough, how do you stay motivated?
If we are being honest here, sometimes I DO NOT want to go to the gym. I'm grateful that I have a husband who motivates me and who makes me jug pre-workout to get me on my feet, especially if I'm feeling down about myself and the gym!
Who inspires you and why?
I follow a handful of fitness influencers on Instagram who inspire me. My most favorite influencer is probably Makayla Anisa (@Makaylaanisa). I have followed her for about a year and a half. I love how personal she is with her followers. She is REAL. I love and look up to her so much. She is definitely is my inspiration.
What is the most important piece of advice you would offer to someone who wants to be like you?
Stop worrying about what others think. You'll never be happy if you are constantly thinking about other people's perspectives of you. When you put your life on the Internet, you will get hate. Someone, who may not even know you, will always have something to say, so let them TALK. Remember this: People either see you as a threat, they hate themselves, or they want to be you. Keep being YOU and do what makes YOU happy!!

What is your training routine like each week?
I work out six days a week, and Sundays are my rest day. I do legs three times a week, back and bi's one day, and chest and tri's the next!
What is your most notable achievement?
Recovering from my eating disorder. My drive for getting stronger was so big that I realized the importance of fueling my body properly. I knew that if I wanted to achieve my goals, I needed to figure my shiz out, fast!
Future goals?
I want to be able to do muscle-ups!! They are SO HARD! I didn't realize how much technique is involved until I started trying to do them.
